I’m Kate Marley, a 21+ (read: definitely an adult) fanfiction writer from Bavaria, Germany. My main fandom is Hetalia and my favourite Hetalia character is Austria because I usually like characters best who have a wry sense of humour and love music. I enjoy reading Historical Hetalia stories, humorous canonverse fanfiction and the occasional creative AU. That basically is what I attempt to write myself.

I’m planning to post some of my fanfics and headcanons/meta to this blog but you can also find my fanfiction on AO3, fanfiction.net and, in case you know German, on fanfiktion.de. Most of my writing is APH Austria-centric and you will often encounter my three OTPs Austria/Prussia (PruAus), Austria/Hungary (AusHun) and Austria/Spain (SpAus) in my stories. I also mod an APH Austria Discord server.


My main fields of interest are literature, history, music and languages, including the history of languages. My favourite period in literature is the English Renaissance and my favourite historical periods are the Middle Ages, the early modern period and the “long” 19th century. I love metal, classical music and folk. The languages I speak reasonably well are English, French, German and Spanish.

Other fandoms I’m in and might occasionally post about include Sherlock Holmes (apart from the Arthur Conan Doyle canon, I particularly love the Granada TV series and Jeremy Brett’s Holmes!), Detective Conan (OTPs: HeiShin and ShinShi/CoAi) and Sailor Moon (OTP: Michiruka). I’m a reluctant Harry Potter fan, but I love Grindeldore: I need the characters I ship to be on a par with each other and I will always fall for the “star-crossed lovers” trope. That is true for all my Hetalia OTPs as well.
